Train in your own castroom
No expensive travel. Use the same equipment you will be using on your patients. Obtain your casting certification as an ROT, Registered Orthopedic Technologist.
Train all your staff
Have your staff train to multitask. Something as simple as learning correct technique for cast removal can speed up your patient flow. Private hands-on workshops also available for practices. Training includes distance learning modules and videos.

Minimal Cost
The Zoom training is free to all ASOP members. Non-members should join ASOP at asop.org before registering for a zoom.
Supplies per 2 attendees For Short Arm Class All students should have a "patient" to cast. Cast Tape- 4 rolls 2"- 4 rolls 3"- Cast Padding- 12 rolls 3"- Stockinet- 2" 6 feet- 3" 6 feet- Water Spray Bottle Cast Cutter, Spreader, Scissors
Zoom Casting Workshops will include the full distance learning opportunities and certifications from the American Society of Orthopedic Professionals. See asop.org Attendees will be eligible to take the OAP, ROT & the OPE exam. The OAP, Orthopedic Allied Professional Exam, can be taken upon completion of the workshop. The ROT, Registered Orthopedic Technologist Exam, requires six months of casting experience. Graduation from a university Athletic Training program is also required to take the OPE, Orthopedic Physicians Extender Exam. see NBCOS.org for OPE information.
