ASOP’s In-House Workshop Training Program Overview: The ASOP In-House Workshop Training Program is designed to harness the expertise of current ASOP members holding ROT, OTC or OPE certifications to provide training in Orthopedic Casting & Splinting for their fellow practice or hospital staff. Instructor Eligibility: Only current ASOP members with either ROT, OTC or OPE certification can participate as trainers. There are exemptions to required instructor certifications. MD/DO, PA-C, etc. Application Process for Prospective Instructors: If you are interested in becoming an in-house program instructor, please register and apply through the provided link: https://form.jotform.com/243304493481153 ASOP’s In-House Workshop Training Program All ASOP current members who hold the ROT, OTC or OPE certification are considered eligible to train their fellow practice or hospital staff.ASOP members who attend these in-house staff workshops will receive ASOP Certificates of Attendance and Continuing Education as if they attended an ASOP sponsored workshop. Assumption: The management of both the practice and hospital is presumed to have given their consent for the instructor applicant to offer training. This consent is primarily based on the management’s awareness and confidence in the applicant’s experience and expertise in the field of Orthopedic Casting & Splinting Training Agenda & Guidelines: Instructors are advised, but not limited, to adhere to ASOP training agendasWhile the core of the training should be based on the provided agenda, instructors are allowed to enhance the program by adding relevant sections or topics that they deem beneficial to their practice needs. All in-house training schedules should be forwarded using the form provided to ASOP at least four weeks before the in-house training workshop is held. The dates, times and name and location of the facility should be emailed to ASOP Key Takeaways: This program is an opportunity for experienced professionals to share their knowledge with fellow staff, ensuring the spread of best practices. ASOP member attendees of the in-house workshop can receive the same acknowledgment and educational credit as they would from an ASOP-sponsored event. Instructors have the flexibility to customize the training program while maintaining the core teachings provided in the agenda.
